Love Day: The Aftermath

Love Day is over, and it's time to bask in the warm afterglow. Or is it? Despite the best efforts of Jess, Lefty and Ms Cynic (amongst others), there didn't appear to be any great flurry of dumpling-rubbing at any of the blogs I visited. Thanks, however, to the four people who commented on the previous post in the 24 hours after I wrote it. That's got to be a record for Sterne. Also, a special hello to Ms Cynic who apparently wet her pants at this post, "and not in the good way". I'd love to know what that means.

Maybe it means she thinks you are a right wing nob?

I tried to comment on your post yesterday but Blogger wouldn't let me. A belated 'Nice goal mate' to you.

I guess that pissing yourself laughing can be considered good. After all, laughing is fun.

But I can think of another way of getting a girl's knickers wet which is a little bit more fun.

Actually, loads of people (surprisingly) got into Love Day! I certainly didn't expect it, I figured everyone would roll their eyes and go back to doing whatever it is they do most days. I saw at least ten or so blogs who got into it, plus got a fair bit of email from people who enjoyed it too. Who knows what else went on behind closed doors?

Either way, it worked for me - I feel much better :)

Ches - yes, because clearly that is what I am.

Ms Cynic - "But I can think of another way of getting a girl's knickers wet which is a little bit more fun."

Is it by throwing her in a swimming pool? If not, I'm not at all sure what you mean...

I was actually concerned you had pissed yourself with fright about how shit the post was or something. But so long as you pissed yourself for some reason, I guess my mission is accomplished.

Jess - didn't mean to understate the effectiveness of Love Day, maybe most of the blogs I checked were inactive or just lazy yesterday. I enjoyed it. We should do it again some time...

Anonymous Lefty put it very succinctly for all of us : 'First - if your blog is on my blogroll to the right, it means I read and enjoy your blog regularly. I may not have time to comment on it - I certainly can't really comment from work, and often I just read your posts, laugh (as appropriate) and resolve to visit again promptly. No point filling your comment box with "lol" and "rotfl" and other stupid internet acronyms (although feel free to do that here, if there's ever an lolly or rotfly type of post). But I do read your blog, and I think it's ace. (If I didn't, I'd have removed it from my blogroll, which I update pretty regularly.) If you don't believe me, you should get some tracking software and follow your links back. (It's like stalking, from home!). *blug*
