"Standing firm: police were prepared for heavy clashes with thousands of G20 protestors in the city."
Apparently the Victorian Police are viewing A Clockwork Orange as part of their training. That or they decided to lighten the mood a bit by staging Lysistrata.

How did they take that photo?
Seriously, surely it had to be posed?
Look at the angle, the height, the depth of fiels, the stationary object.
It had to be posed.
That is magnificent.
I imagine they all grunt in concert too.
Grunting in unison? Zoe, I present you with The Policeman's Song ...
... Performed by The Village People.
SERGEANT:
When a felon's not engaged in his employment,
CHORUS:
His employment (GRUNT!)
SERGEANT:
Or fomenting his felonious little plans,
CHORUS:
Little plans (GRUNT!)
SERGEANT:
His capacity for innocent enjoyment,
CHORUS:
-cent enjoyment (GRUNT!)
SERGEANT:
Is just as great as any honest man,
CHORUS:
Honest man (GRUNT!)
CHORUS:
Yes, when constabulary duty's to be done (to be done - GRUNT!)
A policeman's lot is not a happy one -
SERGEANT:
Happy one (GRUNT!)
That photo isn't posed - Once the barricades were down there wasn't much space between the cops and the protesters/media and they all had their batons out like that.
Right, thanks for that dr.cam.
