In conclusion...

Sterne is now on indefinite hiatus. Jon and I are both in the middle of life changes/crises and blogging time has become scarce. Speaking for myself, I also feel that the blog has run its course. What began as, and for most of its life continued to be, a space of relative freedom, now feels to me restrictive. Sometimes it even feels like work.

Sterne may be revived some day by one or both of us, but don't count on it. Still, blogging is an addiction, and I'm already drawing up vague mental blueprints for my next venture. I picture something quieter, with more music, a more positive outlook. Of course, you can't plan blogs, they just happen, and they go on happening until they stop. This one is stopping here.

Thanks as always to our readers. Bye for now.

Thanks guys. I've loved your work. You will be missed. Good luck with whatever else is going on in your lives. Here's hoping writing continues to play its part.

That's a shame, I've had some good therapeutic laughs from you guys, whoever you are. Thanks for all of your effort.

Sorry you're going, looking forward to your next venture though. I know what you mean about blogging becoming work - it's a hard one.

When blogging feels like work it may be the time to come to a stop, though I still find it hard to believe that Sterne is at an end. Go well, fellers - I've written a small tribute to Sterne on my blog.

I only found you guys recently, and so I am disappointed that it is coming to an end... but I am sure I will have months of fun ahead of me, trapesing through the archives... all the best XXO

I'm really sad to read that you guys are shutting up shop. It’s been a pleasure to read your excellent posts over the years, and I hope that will be exciting (and similarly hilarious) new blogs (or zines) coming very soon!

I just want you to know that if I ever go to another grog blog, it won’t be the same without Jon’s drunken buffoonery or Tim’s glaring absence.

Tim, will you be at the bloggy drinks tonight? need to shake hands and deliver my opinion of Tool's 'Lateralis'. (Which I am listening to today, in return for my son reading 'Ozymandias'. A fair exchange as far as I'm concerned.)

Unfortunately not, Genevieve. I have a long tradition of not attending these things to maintain.

It's kind of ironic that someone invites you to join an index on the post that shuts up shop...

Peace out chaps. You've never failed to amuse. Make sure you let me/us know when you start something new.
