Under Review

I keep forgetting to mention that of late I've been writing some book reviews for the SMH. The latest is of Rohan Kriwaczek's An Incomplete History of the Art of Funerary Violin.

A good review, and considering my classical music training and interest in Enlightenment arts and poetry, I so want to read that book!

Yes, given your background I reckon you'd enjoy it. Apparently my review was quoted by Margaret Throsby in an interview with Kriwaczek on Classic FM this morning. Unfortunately I didn't hear it.

Thanks for reminding me of this book - I mentioned it a while back, for reminding me of the great Australian family of violinists, the Rosenbergs.

Well, I wanna read it too. Not because I know anything about music, but because you made it sound so intriguing. Love a bit of "postmodern trickery" myself.
